Referrals and Fees
Medicare Rebates are accessed through a General Practitioner specialist referral, not a Mental Health Care Plan. There will be a gap fee for consultations after Medicare rebate is taken into consideration.

After several sessions, patients will be eligible for increased rebates under the Extended Medicare Safety Net which makes weekly therapy more accessible. Comprehensive explanation of the Extended Medicare Safety Net can be found at EMSN 2026.

Dr. Canale is currently accepting new referrals. The expected wait list is approximately 2-4 weeks.

​​If you are a patient and wish to discuss the possibility of starting treatment, then please feel free to contact Dr. Canale via email or telephone to arrange a scheduled and preliminary phone call. ​You can make contact before or after organising a referral from your GP.

If you are a referring practitioner then please email referral documents. Dr. Canale will endeavour to discuss any referrals with individual referrers as requested.
